AIME 2000
"the liner
of snow"

The apartment is located in the Aime 2000 residence (often nicknamed "le Paquebot des neiges", because of its appearance), is a large building complex located in La Plagne. Designed by the architect Michel Besançon and inaugurated in 1969, this residence has caused much ink to flow. It is a perfect example of the modern architectural style that prevailed at the time. The main thing then was to build practical rentals without necessarily trying to get closer to the concepts of traditional habitats. The result is surprising. This massive and angular building is now listed as an architectural heritage of the 20th century. If aesthetics is not unanimous, the practical side can only be welcomed. The residence is ski-in ski-out and all amenities are in the large shopping center on level G of the building. Vehicles park on the North side while the snow front extends on the South side. To find a little more entertainment, a pedestrian cable car "Le Télémetro" connects the building to the station of La Plagne Center. In terms of organization, the building is divided into several elevator shafts: Étoile, Zodiac, Zenith, Chamois, Diamant and Flèche. The apartments, mostly studios and some 2 or 3 rooms, are functional. Their standing depends on any renovations carried out by the owners. The apartments on the south side overlook the ski slopes. Those facing north overlook the car park, the valley and Mont Blanc in the distance.
